Calling all enthusiastic Venom fans! Your favorite reporter-symbiote, Eddie Brock/Venom, is returning to theaters in Venom: The Last Dance this October. So, let’s jump into the details.
The Third Venom Movie Gets Named ‘Venom: The Last Dance’
Venom 3 is called ‘Venom: The Last Dance.’ The team has been working on this third part for a while. Remember back in 2021 when Eddie Brock made a cameo in the post-credits scene from “Spider-Man: No Way Home?” That set the stage for Venom: The Last Dance.
Tom Hardy Dropped a First Clue
But get this: the movie’s title was actually hinted at before they announced it officially! When they began shooting, Tom Hardy, who plays Venom, dropped a clue on his Instagram story with a sticker that said “LAST DANCE.” But nobody really caught on to it then.
Tom Hardy’s Last Hint
Then, a year later, in November 2023, Hardy dropped another hint on Instagram without anyone realizing it! So, even though the title was out there, nobody took it seriously until the big reveal.

Venom 3: Release Date
Venom 3: The Last Dance will be released on October 25, 2024, instead of November 8, 2024. Most movies are facing delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and later strikes in Hollywood, which ended in November 2023. However, Sony is having an occupied year with its Spider-Man universe, with the releases of Madame Web (now in theaters after its February 14 premiere) and Kraven the Hunter slated for the August 30, 2024 launch.
Filming of Venom 3 began in June 2023 but was halted due to strikes. The only updates we have received since then have been from Tom Hardy’s Instagram. He has been generous enough to show us a bit of the script on June 16 and give us a sneak peek of his character on June 29.
Cast and Crew
Here’s who you’ll see in the movie:
Tom Hardy will be back as the main character, Eddie Brock/Venom. And joining him are Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Clark Backo—they’re all part of the cast too!
Moreover, the upcoming movie will mark Kelly Marcel’s directorial debut, as the first time she has directed a feature film. She and Hardy constructed the story, from which she wrote the screenplay. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Hutch Parker, Kelly Marcel, and Tom Hardy are producing the third chapter.
